My professional history includes industrial and graphic design experience in both consulting and corporate design offices. A few of the brands I have influenced include Samsonite, Craftsman, Homelite, John Deere, Mastercard and Hallmark Cards. My work is patented, nationally recognized and has appeared in significant publications. Prior to joining the Kansas City Art Institute as an assisitant professor, I was responsible for the design and direction of corporate branded electronic, environmental and print communications for Hallmark Cards. In my professional practice, as creative principal for LXIII XI, I enjoy research and a rigorous process of refinement. I strive to balance the pursuit of excellence in design with the demands of family life and a passion for cycling. My bachelor's degree is in Industrial Design from the University of Kansas and mfa in Graphic Design is from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
